So, wanna know how I spent Easter?
In the emergency room. Chyeah.
So I'm getting a cold last week, it happens, right? No big deal I think. Then comes Easter. I'm fevering, fainting, etc. more than I like, so my shiny knight Jake rushes me to the ER in the middle of work. I owe him big time.
Anyway, we get to the ER and I'm having a little trouble breathing. This is news to me. So they get me in, look me over, and promptly give me a chest x-ray. (It was funny, the radiologist wasn't aware of the hardware in my spine and was like, "WOAH WHAT?!" when the x-ray printed up. C: Made me giggle.)
Annnnyway, we wait to hear back from the doctor who was helping me out, and they determine that my lungs are "hyper oxygenated". Aparently, all my coughing put too much air in my lungs, causing them to swell (???). The doctor was worried I might've had some kind of respiratory infection, but she straight up said, "You're just really sick." So they puff me up with albuterol, perscribe an inhaler and some cough syrup, I barf a few times, and call it a night.
I've been a wreck ever since, though I am better than I was on Sunday. Lots of coughing, muccus, and dizzy spells. The vomiting bouts seem to be over though, and that helps. I can tune out almost any and every kind of physical pain, but nausea? Fuck. I'm done, I lose by default to feeling queasy.
I hate my fucking immune system. I want to get a new one.
PS: HAPPY BIRTHDAY STUPID ALAIN!

MY BOYFRIEND IS A MANIAC
Ok. Ooooo-kay. So here's how it is:
I talked to my dad for almost an hour yesterday night after I started breaking down about Nana. It was really good to hear his thoughts on the matter, especially considering this is his mother we're talking about. This is my first X-mas without her in 21 years, it's his first without her in 57. Kinda put things in perspective for me.
However, we both concluded that she's raising hell in the afterlife, talking mad crap, making awesome Norge food, and line-dancing with Bampa. To be expected of course. :)
Opened presents with the family this morning, and I'm really stunned my folks actually got me a sheep skin rug* I was begging for. It's gorgeous and soft and has great color, prrr. :B I'm putting it at the end of my bed whenever it is I get back to the apartment.
(*my most humble apologies to any anti-fur people, but it's a childhood memory thing for me)
OK SO HERE'S THE POINT OF MY SILLY ENTRY: It's snowing like hell, and it's really windy and icy and dangerous. My boyfriend is at work, and we all decided it would be safest if he just stayed home, since my parents live waaay away from Westminster. Jake just called me and he's like, "Um, I'm on the highway. What exit do I take to get to yer parents house again?"
STUPID SEXY JAKE ARGH <3 IF THE ROADS DON'T KILL YOU, I WILL.
In conclusion: have a wonderful Christmas, sorry I was such a Debbie Downer last night. Be well~

LEGALIZE ME!
HA HA BITCHES! i turn 21 today. Which only means that i can *coughlegallycough* purchase alcohol and gamble. So i guess Las Vegas will start becoming a lot less lame nowadays.
Later tonight, i'm meeting my family, and a few friends at Sushi Kazu for some delicious kaiseki ryori and other sushi goodness. Hopefully afterward, we're gonna recollect at my apartment to drink and make merry! And Misun will be joining us after her brother graduates tonight, which i'm totally excited for. i haven't seen that crazy girl in three months!
Also, it's winter solstice/Yule today. Praise be to Odin, Frey and [my boy] Thor today.
December 21 is the shortest day, longest night of the year, and that's kinda cool. :)
So, i'd just like to wish everyone a peaceful rest of the year and to look forward to the oncoming solar new year!

Well, i start classes again day after tomorrow (as in monday D: NOES!).
i dunno weither or not i'm excited, i mean... last semester was so rough.
What with the break-up and Nana dying and shit...
On top of everything else, my roommates can't make it to NDK this year and Misun's gonna be in Italy
for three months, so i might be going alone, i haven't gotten any of my cosplays finished...
Eeghk. Fuhgeddaboudit.
Trying to look on the brighter side of things however:
I get another chance to do this art school thing right,
I'm seeing a wonderful guy who makes me so happy i get all retarded,
And i made money house sitting for my folks.
It'll be fall sooner than i think. :]
